COMS is bouncing back a bit from the day low. It's now $24 on my freerealtime.com Anyway, here is what asnd said from WSJ : "As for rumors that Lucent Technologies Inc. (LU) is interested in buying Ascend, Ejabat said he isn't in talks with that company." With Asnd dropping a bit out of the race, the chance of LU buying coms is really high. NT buying a pure networking company (BAY) is what LU buying coms means. It doesn't make sense for LU to buy asnd. There are simply too much overlapping of products and asnd doesn't offer any data networking products and market share. Besides it's SOOOOOOO expensive ! Mang
