LoD- I think it is clear from the amount of activity on the Dell short thread in recent weeks that the shorts are a little nervous...In this recent decline, on a percentage basis, Dell is down the SAME as the Naz....this is bad, bad news for the shorts....While Dell has been going up 200% a year, Dell has usually outpaced the Naz during "corrections" by 2-to-1....Given the upcoming strong earnings reports, and likely split, I think it is quite foolish to continue to bet that Dell is going down (much) further, and potential upside is huge! Not a good risk/reward ratio for the shorts... Sure, one can make a little money shorting Dell...but your timing has to be flawless.....and more often than not, shorts get killed....who wants THAT KIND of risk..... heck, it is so much easier (and profitable) to buy and hold!
