excellent, difficult Q. for the ages....I have unfortunately heard this from many nice people before they meet me, the last 10 years.... rats....simply put: unless one can lose everything speculated, in a moment, and have no financial nor emotional reactions, I still say do not trade at all with that amount of $$$, just telling you this as a friend...I personally started with several thousand, years ago, not just a couple of thou....I needed to diversify, dig ? and 2K was not enuf to do so....also, I would spend $ on education/learning the patterns, so that when I did have more $, I would be ready, if that makes sense to you....last, I know not of your entire financial and earnings picture....if one had 2K to "blow", and also had good pension $ and high earnings, well, obviously, that's different....gee, I want to help, but still must rec'd. not to trade except on paper for a while....you are a good, deserving guy, but I would really prefer one had more $ before doing anything for real....LAST: if you know several other friends where you can pool your $ into an investment club, then do stuff, neat, provided YOU can lose your 2 K share of that $, overnite, with no repercussions, as above....hope this helps,
