"The Sports Bar" to Air First Half-Hour Television Show on NBC and UPN Affiliates Sunday, Oct. 5
SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 1997--North American Health and Fitness Corp. (OTC BB:NAFT) announced today that its syndicated half-hour television show "The Sports Bar" has cleared to air in 82% of the country, mainly on NBC affiliate stations.
Additionally, several UPN affiliate stations will also air the show. The first episode will air late night Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997.
Mega Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of North American Health and Fitness, is currently involved with projects other than "The Sports Bar." The company is also about to release "Grizzly Mountain," a family movie. The movie is to be released theatrically on Oct. 31, 1997, starring Dan Haggerty from the 1970s hit television series "Grizzly Adams." The film is to be distributed through Legacy Films and it is expected to have a video street date of January of 1998. Based on the success of this film, sequels may also be produced.
Last month North American Health and Fitness announced that it had acquired Mega Communications for an undisclosed amount of stock. Mega Communications is an entertainment company that produces movies and television programs.
