Scientific-Atlanta/Mexico Plant -2: For Digital Set-Tops>SFA 08/03/98 Dow Jones News Service (Copyright (c) 1998, Dow Jones & Company, Inc.) ATLANTA (Dow Jones)--Scientific-Atlanta Inc. (SFA) plans to double capacity at its manufacturing facility in Juarez, Mexico, to produce Explorer 2000 digital set-tops. In a press release Monday, the company said it expects the facility will be capable of doubling production of the product as well as increasing production of its 8600x advanced analog set - top by October. Scientific-Atlanta said the facility also has adjacent land available for further expansion. Scientic-Atlanta supplies broadband communications systems and satellite-based video, voice and data communications networks. (END) DOW JONES NEWS 08-03-98
