(Uh, take it easy on reprinting private e-mail, that's questionable etiquette on the Net.)

Maybe you and I are a minority of two, although I don't feel entitled to a vote in this matter. Next time I talk to my Dad, I'll ask him how he feels about it.

Here's a tangent: the Internet has brought about a much, much shorter feedback loop in commenting on public figures. If this were ten years ago, and Cramer were writing books or magazine articles, this whole issue would culminate in one letter-to-the-editor, and it wouldn't even be a dialogue.

Also, think about this: Cramer got where he is, both in the market and in the commentary business, by holding and expressing a whole lot of in-your-face opinions. Suppose the guy has 10 controversial opinions. I read the first 9 of them and say "yeah! Go Cramer! How come nobody else has the guts to open up and say this stuff?" And then I read the tenth one and I say "how could you say such a thing?!" So you just gotta take the good parts.
