RE:"<< Which new Tier one do you think Intel will pick up next?>>

You mean AMD not Intel. GTW is the next one to go, then Toshiba,
then Packard Bell/NEC. I think by then it would be 9 out of 10 top tiers. Dell is still all Intel. Am I missing anyone?"

Actually, I could use an updated list of the top ten.
While Toshiba would be a factor in the notebook market and Packard/Bell/NEC is doing a bang up job with Cyrix, "Gateway" would be the real prize. If Gateway goes with AMD, Intel might lower the Celerons to $55 out of paranoia. <G> Mail order buyers are generally more educated than retail store buyers so it seems Gateway would benefit from selling 3dNOW based computers, especially since Dell isn't budging. Also, Gateways pricing structure would allow them to really offer some systems that could take advantage of 3DNOW...
They have home packages, office packages, family packages etc. Why not a "gamer package"??? Is someone out there at AMD listening?
Camp out at Ted Waites doorstep Jerry...give 'em a ride in the limo.
