I agree, today's movement was based on rumor, innuendo, and a herd mentality among money managers... plus there are a lot of people who are sitting on a ton of cash who WANT the market to drop so they can get an entry point. I just posted a message to a thread here on SI dealing with Elaine Gazarelli, who fearlessly recommended being all cash back in the summer, and hasn't budged from that position. I just feel sorry for the people who listened to that advice and were conned into thinking we had reached the investment equivalent of THE APOCALYPSE.
