Jerry---May you come to the knowledge of the truth according to the sincerity of your heart and mind.
You were very near the truth in a recent statement you make.

"
Isn't he the one who said "Why have you forsaken me?" i.e.
Eli, Eli LAMA Azavtani?

A strange statement! If he was who you say he was...Why the question?
Surely he would have known the answer. Don't you?"

An honest and rational mind knows this statement could not be made by a mere mortal.
Every human being knows they have sinned numerous times. Whenever tragedy and hardships strike, we all know that if we were recompensed according to our sinse we deserved worst.

Jesus, however, had never sinned. In His habitation with the Father, He had never experienced broken fellowship.
As He walked and lived in the flesh on earth, He had never committed sin. He remained in felloship with His Father continusously.
As He was tried before the Sanhedrin, He was still in fellowship with His Father.
As He was scourged by the Roman soldiers, He was still in fellowship with the Father.
When He was painfully rejected by the Jewish crowd in favor of Barabas, He was still in fellowship with His Father.
Even when Peter denounced Him, He still had fellowship with His Father.

When, however, He came to the epitome of His human existence--death on the cross for the sins of mankind, HIS FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD THE FATHER WAS BROKEN.
When all the sins of mankind--including yours and mine---poured upon the Jewish Messiah ,this precious Lamb of God, when He in fact BECAME SIN FOR MANKIND, God the Father truned His face away from sin.
When Jesus felt that broken fellowship, thats when He cried "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me."
You see, Jerry, it was you and I that should have faced that utter darkness and broken fellowship for our sins.
No mere human could have cried these words--for we are all guilty of punishment-- but only one that was without sin.
This is The precious Lamb of God, the high priest after the order of Melchizedek, the Prince of Princes of the Jewish nation that takes away the sins of mankind.
Look upon His side that You and I have pierced and let the precious blood of this Lamb of God wash you clean

There remains not Temple, no Ark of the Covenant, no Levitical priesthood. There remains no sacrifice for your sins under the Old Covenant. Jerry. There remains only the pure Lamb of god that was slain for your sins in fulfillment of the Hebrew Scriptures..
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God that was crucified for your sins and If you believe in your heart that God the Father hath raised Him from the dead, You shall be Born Again Jerry.
KNOW IS THE TIME OF SALVATION. KNOW IS THE HOUR.

There is nothing more Kosher and Jewish than to accept the Jewish Messiah that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has prepared for you.
You can become the fullness of what Jewishness was mean to be.

May the God of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob upon the eyes of your understanding and give you the knowledge of His dear Son Jesus Christ the Messiah.

Emile
