Hello all.
Well, I traded some more today...it was my third partial day of trading. I lost some on the first two days, but gained some of it back today. One of my losses on Friday was due to an internet problem...I was up 1/4, only to unknowingly lose my connection and end up getting out down 3/16! That was a little frustrating, but not CyberCorp.'s responsibility.
Generally, I am very pleased with CyberCorp., and everyone there. I upgraded from CyberT 1.2b to CyberTrader 1.6b, and am very happy I did. I really like having the Island Book.
Also on Friday, I wanted to short QWST, but it wasn't on the short list that morning. I didn't need to leave the program. All I did was type the request into the communicator window (right off the main menu bar). I got a response that the clearing firm had 1000 shares in about two minutes (maybe even less). I was fairly impressed by this.
My only complaint (and this does not fall only on CyberCorp., but every broker/dealer I have encountered, is in regards to fees and commissions. Make no mistake, Cyber is clearer and more definitive than anyone else on this seemingly complicated subject. I still don't quite understand it; in particular to partial fills on Island. Several times I get a partial fill on an Island bid, and then the price moves away. I want to complete the fill, but have to enter a new order, and no doubt get charged again....blech...
If anyone can clarify this for me, and give me pointers on how to keep these costs down, I would certainly appreciate it.
