NEWS-dsi israel will write off 4.7million in software expense related to its meter reading business which result in dssi taking a 7 cents charge for 1997 numbers and have no effect in 1998. i don't see why this hit the stock since dssi already publicly released this on june 4 to the market that it might have to write off capitilized software for it meter reading business in israel. if thats hurt it WHY was dsi israel stock up 2% for the day in trading. this company does not make sense. they should be doing a buyback or something to put confidance in the market. i love it think its a great opportunity because we will see bigger news like staten island in the near future. also, at some point you will haVE A METER READING RALLY because the industry is so large and with deregulation makes it a sexy story. kind of like year 2000 stocks or internet stocks. although, i wish morgernstern would have some guts to do a buyback or put some confidance in the market.
