Good evening BellBoy and I am glad you asked: "Bill - What method do you use to get trade sizes and number of trades at that size?" I will answer the question by giving you somewhat of a blow by blow of sorts.

1. First I need to download the daily transactions from one of my accounts. It lists 50 transactions per page and I need to copy and paste each page first to my word processor. So like today I needed to download and copy six screens of information because there was 292 trades.

2. Next I must edit out all unwanted information in the word processor to get it ready for the next process which is to copy that finished product to a spreadsheet format.

3. After it is in the spreadsheet I must create a series of formulas to bring the whole numbers and fractions together as one single number and in today's case 292. I can usually create just one and then copy that to related type cells.

4. Then I must arrange the per share value with its corresponding trade value after which I sort that data by per trading price.

5. Next I need to create another series of formulas to arrive at grouping totals for each price as it relates to number of shares, total value of those shares, percentage base on value and any other totals I will be using for the daily summary.

6. Then I must transfer all this information back to a word processor and reformat for the procedure of moving it to SI.

The whole process can take up to three hours depending on the number of price categories, number of trades, etc. that I need to work with. Needless to say the heavier in overall numbers the more likely it is that I will stop doing this on a daily basis.

BellBoy I have left out a number of steps so as not to bore you. I think you get the picture, I just don't download a bunch of information and post it on SI.

No level II that I know of will do this.

I hope that answers your question.

Best regards,

Bill Fortune III
