On Sunday, I had a long talk with one of the top researchers in AZA, and we also had a talk regarding the possibility of AZA buying VVUS. His answer is: No, not a slight possibility.

1) VVUS's product is not in their future direction of development;

2) He himself did not get any info regarding this kind of buyout talk;

3) He did not buy into the Incontinence study in VVUS, since he believed there are more big and better companies are working on the same subject, and VVUS has nothing to compete with those companies.

4) Gene Therapy. No way, as far as he knows, there are aslo a bunch of companies working on this similar issue, including a big one, but he refused to give me the name of the big company. Personally, he does not think VVUS has the resource to get anything significant out of this study.

5) He thinks after getting the sales person, the company has terminated its intention to buy VVUS, since it does not make sense to the investment community to buy the sales personnel first, and then the company. AZA does not screw up with the investors as VVUS did. Guys/gals, this item is identical to what I stated many times before.

So, his conclusion: no way for AZA to buy VVUS.
