I have spent a lot of time getting info from Vivus and sharing it with the thread. You on the other hand came out with a statement that AZA was going to buy Vivus for $12.00/share. Now if all you said was that you heard that AZA might be purchasing Vivus that would be one thing but to claim that Vivus would be sold to AZA and quote a specific price is another. Only someone with a direct inside contact could make such a statement and I doubt you have such a source. I have never made any statements saying that Vivus was going to be sold at a specific price but I have posted opinions on what I deemed fair value of the company. My statement that I thought Vivus could be sold to AZA came from the observation that Vivus was originally a part of AZA and it sold its salesforce and now has transferred some administrators to the company. I also received a personal message from a SI member who asked not to be identified that he heard either AZA or J&J would probably buy the company. Also, considering that Vivus management owns 25% of the company and I am told that there are a number of shareholders owning both Vivus and AZA stock, it would seem to me that AZA would give Vivus a better price than they might otherwise obtain. As far as your statement that I come across as Judge/Jury--everyone is crazy, drunk, stoned, etc.. that is YOUR opinion and you are entitled to it. But if you want to come on this thread and make bold statements with no sources to back them up then I suggest you join the crowd on the Yahoo thread. You can take your crass statements and name calling where it would be appreciated because I have no use for it.
