Dave you can relay messages to Bob Davis as easy as I can. And after reading his letter I believe he is attempting to educate his readers. In addition he is doing some of the finest and most comprehensive stock analysis that I have seen...and for free! I read a post on the ragingbull thread from an investor that is losing a lot of money in GLOW, and it was for his retirement. As for your statement "I would look for a stock with proven value and very little downside risk with a 35% minimal growth rate", it is unrealistic and the foundation for many disappointments, unless you thoroughly understand the techniques and are patient. I haven't witnessed any patience on this thread. I know of only one investor that has consistently obtained such returns and that is George B. Clairmont. Read his book "Street Smart investing" by George B. Clairmont and Kiril Sokoloff. Excellent book and one I regularly use. Two of my positions Cendant and Oxford Health are based on his techniques.
