CNBC mainly discussed the fact that the SEC has an internet investigation division now. That they recieve over 120 e-mails per day from investors or non investors who suspect fraud in mainly BBOTC stocks. They mentioned that 30% of the e-mails they recieve are on companies already under investigation. Their case in point being Genesis Corp. They mentioned that their CEO was indeed a convicted felon, and that one part of the company that they were fraudulently promoting was a mine which was non producing. On the other end of the spectrum, the reported Mountain Energy Inc. as having been halted due to complaints about lack of information. Then they printed the press release on the screen that Jack released about how the company would be irresponsible in issuing erroneous press releases. All in all it put Mountain Energy in a good light. Brandy
