When Bill Murphy first started up his thread #Subject-21259 no name or alias appeared after 'From:' - just a blank, no little blue line or anything, nothing to click on. It was all quite mysterious until he realized that he hadn't filled that box in while registering, and fixed it.

But in this case, on ovis/rmil, it does seem likely that it got zapped for gross indecency or presenting a hazard to human development or something.
