Wait a minute. Cubicles are not an effective way of fostering productivity. I have worked for companies set up similarly to Nokia and it is a nightmare. 90% cubicles for everyone, 10% meeting rooms for things like performance reviews and loud arguments.

Managers should be more accessible? What if they are speaking on the !$%& phone all day filling the air with endless dribble that really isn't any of my concern.

Time-wasting meetings for discussing pro-sports and trying to get some work done? I had a T-shirt that proclaimed my disgust for turning into a Meeting Going Moron. They got a few laughs out of it but it didn't change anything. I still had to waste every Monday morning while everyone discussed what they were working on. Arrgh!

Cubicles are totally flawed as long as my mentally deficient co-workers use speakerphones to check their !%&@@ voice mail and initiate phone calls.

Aren't we effectively exchanging ideas on this message board with a minimum of interruption of our daily lives? Would it be more effective if we were all trapped in a big room with cubicles? If you want to share ideas, send me email. If you want to share ideas with a group, create a mailing list. Believe me, it is an effective way to share ideas without constant interruptions or long and drawn-out meetings. Can't type? I guess that might be the reason why Eudora has voice messaging ability...

If you aren't exchanging ideas with me, I don't want to hear you, smell you, or feel the vibration of your feet. I don't want to hear your phone ring or hear some retard call your name from across the room.

My opinion is Qualcomm took over and improved Eudora because it has become a critical tool for the way they do business.

Thanks, feel better now. Back to work and watching the entire stock market create buying opportunities across the board.
