Any how this little card doesn't have any Ac3 decodeing or encoding as yet but talks about how it can do the decoding in software if people like and ... well hell i'll just copy & post it.

What is Sound Blaster Live!?
Sound Blaster Live! is a PCI audio accelerator card from Creative. It has a 256 voice synthesizer, 20-bit digital I/O with 32-bit internal precision and a 1000 MIPS effects processor capable of support for Environmental Audio.
Does Sound Blaster Live! include a Dolby Digital (AC-3) decoder?
This initial version of the Sound Blaster Live! does not support Dolby Digital decoding onboard. The 10K1 processor on board is extremely powerful and flexible, and there is an interface on the 10K1 for a hardware AC-3 decoder, so other versions of the card may support it, and a software upgrade is under consideration if user feedback is positive.
Dolby Surround support
Not at time of release. Software or driver upgrade with support is under consideration if user feedback is positive.
Sound quality
Hollywood-quality, based on patented E-mu multipoint interpolation and with 32-bit, 48kHz internal precision. Outputs to 8, 16 or 20 bit via analog DACs (>97dB), up to 24-bit with Digital (>120dB).

Sound Blaster Live! translates A3D calls back into industry-standard DirectSound 3D calls.
Does it accelerate DirectSound and DirectSound 3D?
