Who are they, and why would I listen. They said dow 10,000 3 weeks ago. It was clear to me that that wasnt going to happen. Im no genius, but I will tell you whatever they say is half the truth. Its only 1/2 as good when they say so or half as bad. We still have a few hundred points to go, and yes we will be draged with it, but in 6 months we will be here at 86-8900 again and in a year 9500. The Asian crisis has bottomed, The markets are correcting themselves, and put pressure for lower rates. The bottom line is rememember history. The dow crashed in 87 and it was at 3900? whats it at today. #200 or 3800 was insignifigent. Furthermore in 1980's there were fundemental weakness's
in USA economy, and strength in Japan. Now the situation is reversed!
