Hi Jacob...

Trinske's response to you was moronic. If I were in Simula management and heard he had so flippantly responded to a shareholder question, I would immediately fire him.

Curtain proponents always talk about glass shattering. However, it should be noted that the glass is concave, and the "curve" forces the glass to shatter *out* of the car. Anyone that has noted enough collisions knows this, though from the standpoint of the uninformed public, it might be a selling point.

Simula is already dealing with that by experimenting with new shapes for the ITS. It is my understanding (though I have never seen one) that the company has an elliptical ITS in testing. Such a "shape" would appear to help with glass shattering, would cover more of the window area, and might provide a public relations boost for the product.

To date, SMU is only shipping ITS to a single customer, BMW. There will be another customer before yearend, but we don't yet know which platform is involved.

I have no way of knowing whether any of the announced customers are VW. VW has been interested in developments of side-impact head protection, even filing responses to NHTSA initiatives in this regard, but it isn't clear to me that they are in Simula's stable.

Have a good day.
