Mark...I think it has been discussed several times in here that people seemed to be buying direct from boxmakers like DELL, COMPAQ, GATEWAY2000, MICRON, etc...and not so much from retailers like Computer City, Good Guys, etc...Reports from the above-mentioned boxmakers are saying that PC servers and laptop computers are in hot demand, these are also the two areas in which profit margins are the highest. With corporate America in the upgrade cycle...why should one worry so much about retail sales ? Moreover...if people are not buying PC's now from retail stores...maybe they will buy after Xmas ?
