Hi Steve,
I humbly thank you for pushing forward with this study to discover our respective understandings of the Gospel and hopefully in the process help each other to grow into the fllness of the stature of Christ.

"So Abraham was saved differently than I have been? Is it your contention that the way
of salvation has changed, from the Old to the New Testament?"

Yes! The salvation of the Israelites from Egygpt was the paradign of the OT concept of salvation. It was salvation under the holy shadows and symbols that God gave us in the OT. The sins of men could only be covered until the reality of Christ would come. There was not new spiritual birth and not baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Salvation under the new covenant is a totally new thing. God---Jesus Christ---took the sins of mankind upon himself and gave mankind his righteouness. This did not happen under the oc.

May Christ give you wisdom to communicate your heart and may he enlighten your understanding.

In Christ

Emile
