Let me ask you a question. This matter is not in a trial court of law as yet. So what quantum of proof and what sorts of proof would it take for you to concede that Clinton is a liar and has abused his office? Is there a difference between the legal standard of proof necessary to convict someone for a criminal offense and the non-legal standard where common sense tells you someone's denial is not credible? For instance, OJ was not convicted as the legal standard of proof was not met, but do you believe he is innocent?

When you look at this case and you look at all the people you have to disbelieve to believe Clinton, when you weigh his actions in asserting every existing privilege and even some which did not exist, when you see he finally fessed up to Gennifer Flowers, when you see Monica making a deal for immunity, when you realize there are over twenty hours of tapes which seem to back up the allegation that an affair occurred, when you see Clinton's advisors declaring "war" on a federal prosecutor working on a case approved by his own AG and confirmed by a three judge panel, when you see his wife talking about a vast right wing conspiracy, when he says he will talk sooner rather than later and more rather than less (and then waits 7 months); my question to you is what does that tell you about the likelihood that he is telling the truth by denying a relationship with "that woman" and if that isn't true why is it such a big leap to obstruction and subornation of perjury by others? At what point do you become convinced that Dan Burton really was right about our President all along? Does he have to confess? If you had a daughter, would you leave her alone with him? JLA
