Actually there are way fewer rigs than there was 5 to 10 years ago. If the drillers are smart they will all hold firm to minimal day rate fees and simply stack their rigs if they can't get a fair day rate. IMO this is also a great time for them to perform maintenance on any rig that isn't being rented. CDG now approaching book value and still should make over 80 cents this quarter.
