Bob,

Do you have any indication from the company as to the expected value of the present weekly shipments? We are told that the columns weigh about 50 pounds. That is a significant weight if it is 75 percent precious metals. I know that the "resin" is relatively light, but could make no projection here.

They are most likely shipped wet, also. I have no expertise here, just thinking out loud.

Well, I did get a one day rally on my prediction on the S&P 500. Today was a disaster for any who were long. Thank God, I was not. It would have been about -10K on a single contract. The S&P has retraced 48% from the Jan98 low to the recent high to present close. This could reverse soon, or it could get real, real nasty. Strong hands and fund managers get nervous in this kind of action, and.....Major damage to most portfolios has not been done yet. There is still time to move to safer ground. Bonds could perform well in a deflationary scenario. Lower interest rates will allow some to refinance their mortgage. If they still have a job, that is great. If they do not need a job, that is better. My target for the S&P 500 was 1200 and it only went to 1196 before it crashed, so logically, it must rally to my projection, or the decline is not valid (just kidding). I do not think that this is the "big one", but I could be wrong. This market is like San Francisco in 1906. It is set up for the earthquake, but nobody knows the day it will happen. This could be a foreshock, or the real thing, and I know not which!

One thing is certain. The small and uninformed investor will be left holding the bag if he is not quick, decisive and defensive here!

There are certainly fortunes to be made in a market like this, but that is not for the weak of heart!

Clearly, the Asian economic situation has greater impact than most have been willing to admit. It is a global economy and that must be realized bya alla alla chucka!

I must be boring all here and will shutta uppa!

Confusius, Jack!
