Jay, thanks for the history lesson. I don't know if TEK has a mouse drive scope like HP, it sound like a good idea though. It also sounds like an easy thing to do. So, I figure TEK would do it if they thought they should.
I think you may be right about the hand helds. The TEK one we have does every thing, and can connect to the PC too.
I agree with your assessment of the wireless test equipment. I happen to work in the wireless area, and know that the 'baseband, and RF' guys eat up ALL of our equipment, and can never get anything fast enough, or functional enough. The standards are also VERY stringent on signal conditioning, and timing. So high end test equipment and procedures is an inevitable outcrop. The same applies for the basestations.
I disagree, however, with your appraisal of CDMA's guaranteed future. TDMA is, currently, the more likely candidate for market share, with CDMA possibly falling towards more of a niche market. The jury is still out, but recent developments seem to point this way.
I wonder when the broadcasters are going to start their digital revolution, in any degree? Didn't they promise this to the FCC in return for free air waves? When they do Lietch, and TEK should get huge pops. Don't you think?
