<< You didn't respond to the inefficiecy of the "buggy whip" legal system; guess you may agree with me on something. >>

We may or may not agree. I just don't understand what you mean by a "buggy whip" legal system.

I'd like to see many changes to our legal system. The first change, would be to deny free (taxpayer paid) legal help to already convicted felons. It makes me sick to see career criminals getting millions of taxpayer funded legal help.

I'd also like to see the jury system scrapped and replaced by a panel of judges, similar to Japan. But, I would still keep the appeals courts.

<< It's not surprising to me that you condone lying since a large segment of society now does. >>

You enjoy slandering me. I enjoy a good exchange, but usually stay away from posters who get hostile or belligerent. I don't condone lying. But, what do you want to do, make lying a capital offense punishable by death? <g>

If Clinton is guilty of lying about a tryst with Monica, give him a warning not to do it again, slap him with a $100 parking ticket, and let him continue with his job as President.

<< But if your government does and the media does, do you continue to trust >>

I agree with you. We can't trust the Republicans or the Democrats. That is why it is so important to have a balance of power. I never want to see either the Democrats or Republicans get total control.

But, the media? Most of the news that I follow by the major networks is very credible, and is backed up or corrected. Having a free press is essential to maintaining freedom and democracy.

It scares me that the right wing fundamentalists would like to restrict the news to only their version of the truth.

<< The media wants to give Clinton credit for the economy. So do you apparently. >>

Yes. There is no substitute for good leadership. Bad leadership shows up quickly in bad results. Look at Japan, N. Korea, Cuba, Nigeria, etc. if you want to see bad leadership in action.

<< Is this about sex or integrity? >>

It's about politics and President Clinton's political enemies trying to get him out of office. It's also about the Republicans getting even for Watergate and Irangate. Watergate and Irangate represented major crimes against this country. The fact that the Republican party is still upset over Nixon being forced from office, and upset of being caught at Irangate, which was an awful crime, makes me really worry about them getting too much power!

<< Sadly , I must conclude you never inhaled either. >>

Would you mind explaining what you mean by this statement?

Regards, Bob
