I was asking an honest question. If you are rankled it is because you fired off an intentionally short answer to me and I answered in kind to your rude response.

I've played many a stock picking game and the rules usually state that picks be made with some lag time before the market closes or the prices are set. So I expected the same here and with good reason. If a contestant can make picks AFTER Wednesday's market close, he or she can benefit by using late news that might gap a stock either way on Thursday's open. If there was a large cash prize involved here, experienced stock market game players would scour the news after close, looking for earning failures, Asensio attacks, whatever. Anything that would, in a sense, allow them to grab the advantage of buying on Thursday's open using a guaranteed price based on Wednesday's close (Something you can not do in the real market). As you went to great effort to cover most questions in advance here, I really thought that you did understood this "loophole", which can be decisive. Some people think such a tactic is fair. Others think of it as unfair. I think of choosing picks before the close, (not after) as a way of leveling the field and thought you did to.

You don't have to believe me and you can use it as another excuse to get your feathers up, but train and bus schedules often avoid 12:00 AM (Midnight) for the same reasons that I was confused, using times like 12:02 etc just so people don't show up an 24 hours early or late. Throw in the several times that Forest mentioned 12 PM, and sheesh, you might understand why a person might want the time clarified.

Apparently you think that I have some malicious motive for trying to get a precise answer out of you. Give us both a break.

Michael
