Also, think of Venezuela's heavy oil, Canada's Tar Sands, USA's oil shales, Australia's shales, etc. and etc. Together they represent about 15 trillion barrels of oil about 10 times current oil reserves. Then there is good old coal and synfuels are profitable at about $50 a barrel.

The biggest fossil fuel resource: Methane Hydrates found along the continental margins beneath the sea floor.
