Has it occured to anyone that perhaps Beyer is, as the Japanese say,
'taking responsibillity' for recent problems, and that this could become
perceived as a healthy, pro-active step by the company?

Look back at VLSI's press releases of 1996 and you'll see they had
a LOT of non-pc stuff going on before Beyer arrived. It seems
the ship's leaks had been sealed and it's course corrected by the
time Beyer got there.

I think the company could use a little spin control, and indeed to clarify
their plans and expectations, but I've never had the impression that
Beyer was a must-have visionary.

Can someone tell me why I'm mistaken?

thanks, and more prozac to all
-Kevin
