Tom: Despite my natural inclination to cheer, I must echo the concerns expressed by John and Clement. Where's the money for Oshawa, Niagra, and Carver coming from? Re: these announcements, the marketplace is now obviously responding, "yeah, right, show us the money!" I faxed Rene last week urging him not to announce Carver unless the funding was in place---could boomerang otherwise. No response. And Oshawa and Niagra completed within four months from September?? Let's fervently hope so, but I'm reminded that construction on Richmond, now (hopefully) scheduled for completion in October, began January 15th. Oops,isn't that nine months, assuming(optimistically)that it is commpleted in Oct? Again, where's the money?? September is only a few weeks away and if these pronouncements don't occur as scheduled, there's another body blow to company credibility and probably to the share price. Shouldn't management realize this by now, or am I missing something here? Regards, Dave C |
