Regarding corporate and private computer buying, where I work, hundreds of new Compaq PCs are rolling in on a daily basis as we upgrade from our old 486 and P75s. Also, two relatives recently bought home PCs from Gateway after shopping CompUSA and Best Buy first. I think buying habits have shifted, and the retailers aren't the most accurate indicator of PC sales. Paul
