Shawn, first of all: Good article. Thanks for posting it.

<< Bill Clinton and the Democrats are definitely effecting the economy...unfortunately, not in a positive way!: >>

I agree that our school system stinks. A high school diploma has little value, unfortunately for those that really earn it. A lot of teachers should be in high school as students, and not teaching it.

But, our educational system has been getting worse for years. That can be blamed both on Republicans and Democrats.

The Republicans want to bleed our public system more, by allowing parents to use school vouchers. I like the idea of parents being able to give their kids a better education by avoiding our public schools. I dislike taking more funding away from our public schools.

But, perhaps, if it is done right, school vouchers are the way to go. It might result in the building of many nonsectarian schools, which might be able to replace most of the corrupt and inferior public school system.

I an neither Republican or Democrat. Both have done a miserable job regarding education. Currently I find the Republican Party more mean-spirited, and their right wing religious fundamentalist fringe scares the bejeezes out of me.

Regards, Bob
