Yes, certainly, but patents are found invalid all the time.
Lawrence Livermore Labs licensed multiple customers to use
an ultra wide bandwidth pulse radar chip and now there is
serious doubt that they had the rights to do so, since their
primary claims are included in an earlier patent. Even the
best blow it once in a while.
