Dave, no I did not say it was cheaper to run an OPART. What I am saying is that Fonar cannot argue that it is cheaper to run a Fonar than an OPART on the basis of 'supercons are more expensive to operate than resistives' arguement because it is not true when cryogens do not need to be replaced. Cryogens are the main cost of operations and since neither the OPART nor FONAR need to replace cryogens, the argument won't work there. Also, to follow-up on what you heard about GE's pricing, I can tell you because I have seen the responses to our RFPs that GE magnets are essentially the most expensive MRIs available.
