It's hard for me to remember exactly, but I think the equipment makers and chipmakers rallied more or less together. The OSX is continuously drifting down to absurd levels in the absence of good news to steer them back. It can change all of a sudden if Wall St suddenly declares they are a good value. This happened with Apple. Things looked bleak, bleaker, bleakest, and then Wall St said, they're a good value. Apple has been one of the best performers this year. The stock appreciated long before people started buying G3 computers and long before profits showed up. It reversed course on based on value (and takeover value.)
