Wouldn't it make sense to actually convert to common shares at a low price if you know the share value will soar with the "coming" deal?

I'm presuming, given TMEX's (doubtable) report on the preferreds holder...some elder woman, if my memory serves me...having "great faith in the company"...and not intending to sell... Can't the owner of the preferreds make more holding a lot of commons compared to a static number of preferreds...?

I hope this conjecture is not too stupid for correction or comment.
