Why would they confirm the rumor if it was true? The price would jump up and they would have to pay more for the company. Sun is trading at a discount to S&P Reports Fair Value of 55.00 1999 estimated earnings is $ 2.75 Microsoft goes back to court. News item on JavaOS today, mentioning IBM, & SUNW. Looks like Big Blue is pushing Java, along with its copper chips to take market share from MSFT and INTC. Buying SUNW would allow them to offer alternate to people sick of the MSFT & INTC monopoly.
