<<It looks to me like the Company tried to make the Doctor recommend their instrument and HE DIDN'T.>>

1. I don't believe that you actually read the rebuttal from CCSI on the article you are referring to:

Message 5082385

Dr Maisels states:

"....The statements attributed to me by TheStreet.com were not stated in their complete context. What is clear to me, is that the TLc-BiliTest(TM) is a very important recent advance and will assist the medical community in providing better care for the jaundiced newborn infant, while at the same time helping parents and their babies by using a non-invasive test....."

".....I will certainly use the device and benchmark results against blood sample testing for some period of time, as would any responsible physician until comfortable replacing old technology with new. I am confident that the Colormate(TM) TLc-BiliTest(TM) will replace the overwhelming majority of heel sticks....."

2. Dr. Maisels is on the medical advisory board. No on MADE him join, no one PAID him to join, he himself CHOSE to be on it. Did you see this article from Dec. 23, 1997?:

<< No matter how many time you read this, If I were a doctor I'd wait until more data was available-- a lot more, and I'd have better things to do that keep concurrent records- unless i was writing a paper.>>

This is exactly the reason for the testing being done in Dallas. To provide more data for a doctor, etc. to base his decision to use the device on.
