Yogi, I was reading the same article just before I read your post. A coincidence?
But isn't this just another version of a dumb terminal? (Not exactly, but along the same lines. Which means I am equating apples, oranges, and pears, because they're all fruit.)
This company is offering a net-based data storage solution. Maybe it will catch on.
But I personally like the idea of personal storage I can control (even tho I can't control my PC, or much of anything else.)

And I sincerely doubt that laptops will die out any time soon. They may get smaller, lighter, more powerful, etc. But I doubt they are going to be replaced in the near future (to any serious degree), either in business, or in colleges, etc. |
