I keep warring with myself. You, me, Stitch, PX all the usual suspects will always want all the bells and whistles. We love being able to do "cool" stuff with our computers.
On the other hand, there is a huge market out there that just wants to access the internet as a communication function. You do not need a traditional PC to do that. The corporation/sm business they work for provides them with a way of getting work done. They don't care what is under the hood or what hidden capabilities lurk within the machine.
Right now, corporate IT managers are us. They are geeks so they buy PCs. Sooner or later they will become non-geeks who buy the most cost efficient way of doing things. That may very well be a pc like device with internet based application software ( as long as security is unbreakable).
Tomorrow, I will probably believe the PC and local storage are here forever. Like I say, a personal war.
