OT - Defense of my On Topic criticism of the Bear Sterns analysis.
My post was narrowly focused on the obviously incorrect assessment of the political situation in Washington. I point it out because it is so wrong it casts doubt on the author's judgment in general.

Corruption is administration wide as evidenced by the fact that cabinet members and others holding high political positions in the administration have resigned in disgrace and been convicted of serious crimes. Current cabinet members are under serious criminal investigations for other crimes. Others have escaped investigation by dying (under, unusual, circumstances ). The Vice President has admitted to braking the law by soliciting campaign funds on from Federal property and defends himself by saying - who cares; it's an old law. And besides, there is no controlling authority to do anything about it anyway. The head of the FBI thinks there is enough evidence that both the President and Vice President have broken other campaign laws that a special prosecutor should be appointed to investigate them. Both men are documented liars. Like it or not, this is a paralyzed lame duck President who will not be able to act effectively for the rest of his term of office, however long that is.

The USA has the premier economy on earth for many reasons. Chief among them is the generally correct assumption that it is a nation dedicated to equal protection of the law for everyone regardless of who they are. This assumption is under attack.

Anyone how thinks this is only about a stained dress is under a grave misapprehension.
