Present day is the first time in history that the government is transferring wealth from the younger, poorer generation to the older, wealthier generation.

Many have predicted intergenerational conflict as the younger generation realizes that there will be little available for them in SS when they retire. Instead of being held to account for this situation, Dem politicians have sought to get the younger generation on the government plantation by offering them government funded child care, etc.

What the younger generation should be saying is "let us keep our money !" Rep/libertarians must stress that if it were not for the high level of government taxation there would be no need for most families to warehouse their children at inferior childcare and they could actually be raised at home. In fact, studies show most mothers do not want to work outside the home but wind up doing so just to pay the increased taxes.

I have been convinced for some time the reason the media/culture in effect told women to work outside the home is precisely to shore up SS and create demand for ever more government. Can you imagine just how bad the SS mess would be (and much earlier) had woman not joined the work force en masse?
