iMac at CompUSA

Speaking of iMac's... As some of you know, I donate my weekends at the CompUSA on 5th Ave here in New York. There is a large training facility there, but anyone wanting to take a Macintosh course has had to hike all the way to the CompUSA in White Plains (NY). Since there is an expressed target for sales of Mac training packages, I'd often pointed out to my superiors just how silly this situation was.

No more.

The manager responsible for training there has confirmed that CompUSA's in New York will finally offer in-store Mac training along with its PC classes. Further, all training will be conducted on the same machines -- iMac's running MacOS 8.1 and Virtual PC!

He went on to elaborate how this arrangement will both expand the training options while lowering store costs, easier to network, single platform support convenience... but you know this already. Score another one for Apple.
