An investor in venture firms expects 45% annual return for the risks she takes. If cmg's model changes from venture firm to that of holding company of mature enterprises the expected return will decrease because investor is no longer taking venture type of risk. We should take a peak at cmg's prospective model. We should learn if the investees like lcos,amzn,hlwy,etc will continue to be held even after maturity and till the stage of no growth or moderate growth. I am long.
