YoYo,
Debt is based in Canadian Dollars. It is a Canadian Company and must report to Canadian Securities bodies and exchanges. If you look back at my previous posts to this thread you will find that contracts are usually based on US dollars to the States and the premium that Repap picks up on the weak looney is a bonus for them and should help to reduce debt on the converted US dollar.
This also happened in 1986 for some of the older investors.I was selling Investors Japenese Growth Fund in 1986 and it did 62.4% that year as the Japenese economy was strong and our dollar was around .68-.69 US. The Yen was strong against both curriencies. When money was converted from the Yen to the dollar(Canadian) the fund did about 35% in foreign exchange and about 27.4 in growth on the fund for a combined total of 62.4%.The weak dollar may be a tremendous help to Repap coupled with strong demand for paper and strong paper prices that result. FWIW.
