To Scott, Shawn, Bernie, Maho, Rick and everyone else:
I been watching this thread and enjoying myself... But I must post something that should be shared among you folks. Everyone go to your local library and pickup the January '97 issue of Bloomberg Personal. I hope some of heard of Bloomberg, well that have a great publication!
Take a look at the cover... "Head Games, buying the Bloomberg 100 top-performing stocks takes smarts, guts and lots of research". Go to page 48 an begin to read this fascinating article titled "Set to Soar". Then go to page 53 read take a look at the list of the "Best Performing Stocks in 1996" compiled by "The Red Chip Review".
Well you reading this post and saying big deal. Well as you go down the list you see Iomega, Act Networks, Optical Cable, and guess who is number 31, Advanced Viral Reasearch!
This is the only, yes the only stock on this list which is trading (as of 10/31/96) under a 1.00.
So I must pose the question, with 10,000 penny stocks out there that have soured 1000% or more this year, why has Bloomberg and the Red Chip Review selected ADVR for thier list of "Best Performing Stocks" in 1996. Why is ADVR among stocks such as System Soft, Telebit, Brooktrout Technology and others?
Maybe Shawn can help me with this very troubling question? Everyone, check out the article it is very interesting. |
