During the furor in the patents business, a trio of luminaries like Sam Lemulsky, someone named Prince, and Raymond Damadian, made a lot of news ... including one article in the Wall Street Journal. It was
about inventors who had learned best how to use the "system" for
US Patents, etc. I then tried to find whether the book, Abusing
Cancer Science was still in print. I searched "Hollis" in the white
pages, and found some listings in the state of Washington ... one
of whom turned out to be Donald Hollis's son. He said Hollis had
been pestered to death by patent lawyers during the previous several
months looking for a copy of his little volume. I said to just give
him my name and my phone number, as I was pretty sure he might remember me from Study Section meeting at NIH. He did, and he phoned
me. This was maybe 6-9 months ago. He is alive and well and still
is "retired" in Chehalis WA (Shayhallis). He said he personally
had about a thousand copies of "the true story about NMR and Cancer"
left and stacked in his garage .. but patent lawers had depleted
his pervious store of 2500 or more
His phone number was made unlisted so I would not give it out,
but his snail-mail address is public ..
