Guess the players and others will just have to settle for money market funds which yield about the same and are marked-to-market. Oh, I forgot that they are gambling that short rates will fall. I guess if that is true, they might as well pay the scarcity premium because in that view it will become more scarce. We all know how bad and deceptive it is for government to stop issuing long treasuries. The Japanese are not going to like it either. Oh, but I guess that is no longer the case if the yen continues upward. Scarcity premium? Where do these clowns get these concepts?
